Our Panama and Guatemala trek is an adventure seekers paradise. Not only will you learn about the unique culture of these countries, but you’ll get to snorkel the San Blas Islands and hike the Pacaya Volcano along the way.

Itinerary Overview
Day 1 - Panama City

Welcome to Panamá!

Upon arrival, our local provider will be waiting for you at the airport and will transfer you to your hotel at Casco Antiguo in Panama City.

Enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2 - Panama City

Enjoy the history hidden behind the fort in Old Panamá. Many buildings still in the same shape and paint from old times. After lunch, spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 3 - San Blas

Early in the morning you will be picked up at the hotel and transfer you to Puerto de Carti. From there you will take a boat that will take you to San Blas. One of the most famous, beautiful and still conservative islands in Panamá. The indigenous Kuna Yala tribe have self-governing authority over the islands and a part of the mainland. An entrance fee needs to be paid upon arrival (Included) to be welcome.

Day 4 - San Blas

Today you will be taken by boat to visit 2 other beautiful beach islands with one of the bilingual guides and you will do snorkeling. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 5 - Antigua

After you spend these last 2 nights in San Blas, you will be taken back to Panama City, specifically to the airport to catch an International flight to Antigua Guatemala. Upon arrival, our provider will be transferring the whole group to your hotel in Antigua.

Day 6 - Antigua

Explore the area and learn about this colonial old city. Share with the locals, visit the markets and know the city with this walking city tour provided by your leader. Your afternoon is free of activities for you to explore at your own peace.

Day 7 - Pacaya Volcano

This day you will visit the Pacaya National Park. Visit to the most active volcano in Guatemala, its 2500 m. above the sea; the environment is formed by humid forest and rocks.

Transfer to the foot of the volcano Pacaya and from there, you start hiking from the San Vicente de Pacaya village and begin the ascent. The route is approximately 60 minutes of walking and up to a distance of approximately 50 metres from the crater. At the top, you can see down into the crater to the lava as well as experience the energy of an active volcano. Pacaya Volcano remains one of the active volcanoes of Guatemala. At the end of your walk you will reach a rocky and arid area where you can see the volcano and lava flows, and where you can cook marshmallows. Time to take photographs.

You will then begin your descent and during your journey you will find the Lava Store, where you can feel free to buy a souvenir made with volcanic material

Day 8 - Panajachel

After this amazing experience, get ready to go down and get transferred to Panajachel. Take lunch and explore Panajachel with the group.

Day 9 - Panajachel

Visit Chichicastenango Market. The old Maya Market, full of colorful stores, fruits, souvenirs, the house of the Popol Vuh, the mayan book about the human origin. Very famous for rituals at Santo Tomas church and the many believes you can find. Enjoy a boat trip at the Atitlan lake and visit one of the towns around the lake and share with the locals.

Your trip is about to end, get ready to spend the last night in Guatemala and enjoy your farewell dinner.

Day 10 - Depart Panajachel

Your tour comes to an end this morning after breakfast. Group transfer back to Antigua Airport to go home.
