Trip Overview

Congratulations to the class of 2024 and welcome to Chicago Booth! One of the most fun ways to get to know your incoming classmates and current students is to go on one of the many Random Walk trips hosted by the school!

Random Walks was founded in 2001 with the goal of giving Chicago Booth students an opportunity to meet and bond with future classmates before the rigors of the MBA program begin. Through the collaborative efforts of Booth students, administration, and our travel partners, Random Walks has grown into the most successful pre-MBA travel program in the United States.

Registration Information

Please see below for important trip information and registration support.

  • Itineraries are being finalized and will be posted prior to the full payment deadline. Final pricing of each trip will depend on the total headcount. As an estimate, the 6 night/ 7 day Zion/Bryce/Vegas trip should range between $2150-2450 and the 4 night/5 day Charleston trip should range between $1600-1900.

  • All Boothies will be responsible for their own roundtrip airfare to/from their assigned Random Walk.

  • Please note, the $300 deposit is non-refundable upon registration.

  • You are required to select your trip preferences in your registration form. Please note, there are limited spots on each trip. Thus, if you are willing to participate in either trip, you will have a higher likelihood of being placed on one of the domestic Random Walk trips.

  • We highly recommend participants to purchase travel insurance to protect against any unforeseen circumstances. You can purchase the AIG Student Protection plan policy here, or purchase other forms of travel insurance online.

  • You will be asked to complete a full Traveler Information Form when you pay the remaining balance of your Random Walk. You will be notified of your trip selection no later than July 8th with full payment due no later than July 12th, 2022.
