Ofcourse, you will start and end your trip in two of India’s most energetic cities where food and nightlife are second to none.

Itinerary Overview
Day 1 - Arrive Delhi

Meet & greet at Delhi International airport by a Bschool representative and your accompanying English speaking Tour Director who will escort you to your hotel – Shangri La’s Eros Hotel. VIP amenities (fruit basket, and mineral water with compliments) will be placed in all rooms.

Day 2 - Delhi

AM: Immerse yourself in the heritage of India. Enjoy a Heritage walk of the walled city founded by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1639 led by a specialist. Ride a Cycle Rickshaw through the bustling markets of Chandni Chowk that tell a rich narrative of faith and trade.

PM: Lunch will be at a nice local restaurant. Thereafter visit Humayun’ s Tomb, the first great example of Mughal architecture in India. Drive past the architectural marvels of Lutyens New Delhi. Enjoy a special walking experience led by an acclaimed photographer – Vicky Roy (subject to his availability). Learn about his story, from a rag picker to a celebrated photographer, groomed by the Salaam Baalak Trust.

Return to the hotel by Tuk Tuk’s. Welcome dinner will be at a chic local restaurant. Optional: Enjoy the nightlife in Delhi. Visit Kitty Su, a luxurious club which has a sophisticated feel for all-night DJ parties and private events.

Day 3 - Delhi – Amritsar

AM: Transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight to Amritsar. Meet & greet on arrival by a Bschool representative who will escort to your hotel.

Leave for an orientation tour of Amritsar. Visit the Golden Temple – the holiest shrine for Sikh religion. Witness the Community kitchen. The Sikhs believe that everyone, regardless of their station in life, should do “sevak” or rendering social services. This resulted in the “Langar” or community Kitchen, where every member of the religion considers it an honor to come and put it a couple of hours cooking thousands of Indian breads, making huge vat loads of curry to feed local pilgrims and the under privileged. You will join in the making of bread and stirring the enormous vats, as part of doing “sevak” while visiting this holy site.

PM: Thereafter drive to Attari border for witnessing the change of guard ceremony. Witness the lowering of the flags at sunset accompanied to the sound of bugles and with much pomp and ceremony by the respective armies. The whole event is lustily cheered on by onlookers on either side.

Return to hotel. Dinner will be at the hotel.

Day 4 - Amritsar – Jaipur

AM: Optional: Head out for the pre-dawn prayer service at Harmandir Sahib.

Leisurely this morning head to the Partition Museum. The first of its kind and chronicles the partition of India in 1947 and is housed in the Town hall. Then walk along heritage street to Jallianwala Bagh and see the historic site! Enjoy an interesting food trail, snacking on street food and washing it down with lassi at shops along the way.

PM: Lunch will be at a popular local restaurant. Thereafter enjoy the popular local markets. Evening transfer to airport for your scheduled flight to Jaipur. A snack with soft drink will be served on-board.

Meet & greet on arrival and transfer to your hotel.

Day 5 - Jaipur

AM: Optional: Ballooning experience.

Visit Amber Fort famous for the excellence of its design and decoration. Next visit Sculpture Park at Nahargarh Fort to witness some masterpieces of Indian contemporary art and traditional architecture.

PM: Photo stop at Hawa Mahal “Palace of Winds” – the most photographed monument of Jaipur. Lunch will be at the City Palace Café, one of the most popular restaurants in Jaipur. Admire the textile and painting at City Palace and later a tour of the palace. Continue to the Observatory that houses precise instruments for measuring the harmony of heavens.

Rest of the afternoon at leisure or a shopping tour for textiles, jewelry, etc. can be arranged.

Day 6 - Jaipur - Delhi

AM: Transfer to airport for your scheduled flight to Delhi.

PM: Meet & greet on arrival by a Bschool representative. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. Visit Gandhi Smriti with a specialist.

The house where Mahatma Gandhi spent the last 144 days of his life. A tribute to non-violence, this tour explores the tragedy that befell the nation of India with the loss of one of its greatest leaders. At Gandhi Smriti you will step into martyr’s bedroom, where everything rests the way Mahatma left it, including his glasses and walking stick.

Rest of the evening will be at leisure for shopping/independent activities.

Optional: Visit Crafts museum or Qutab Minar

Day 7 - Agra - Delhi

AM: Short drive to Nizamuddin Station for your express train to Agra. Meet & greet on arrival by a Bschool representative. Visit Taj Mahal with your A&K Tour Director. An immense mausoleum of white marble built between 1631 and 1648 by order of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife, the Taj Mahal is the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world’s heritage.

PM: Lunch at a 5 star hotel. Thereafter visit Agra Fort. Enjoy a talk on Mughal architecture.

Drive back to Delhi.

Day 8 - Delhi - Mumbai

AM: Transfer to airport for your scheduled flight to Mumbai.

PM: Meet & greet on arrival by a Bschool representative and transfer to your hotel – ITC Grand Central. Orientation tour of Mumbai – drive past and visit the most distinctive landmarks of the city – Gateway of IndiaMaidan, Marine Drive, etc. Photo-stop at Dhobi Ghat, a huge open-air laundry and Mani Bhawan, a small museum on the life of Mahatma Gandhi. Today’s dinner will be at the historical Leopold Café.

Day 9 - Mumbai

AM: Optional: Mumbai by Dawn: Mumbai has an infectious charm and energy of its own and its early morning sights give you an interesting peek into the mercurial character of the city. As the city wakes up, one can get a whiff of the cultural insights of the real Mumbai.

Drive to Church gate, to meet the Mumbai dabbawallas who operate a tiffin-box delivery system touted as one of the most well-organized, technology-free businesses worldwide. Visit a Bollywood studio and learn the moves & grooves of Bollywood.

PM: Visit Dharavi – an Entrepreneur’s Entourage, visit Asia’s largest “slum” which is home to nearly a million people. Despite the grime and the squalor, Dharavi is an area bustling with activity and many rags-to-riches stories.

Optional: Cricket everywhere: Watch a thrilling cricket match at the Shivaji park of Mumbai.

Farewell dinner will be at Bombay Canteen, rated #1 restaurant in India by Condé Nast Traveller.

Day 10 - Depart Mumbai

AM: Check out depending on your return flight to home. A Bschool representative will escort you to airport for your homebound flight.
