Itinerary Overview
Day 1 - Arrive Windhoek

Upon arrival at the Windhoek International Airport you will meet your guide who will transfer you to the hotel with a city orientation tour en route.

The remainder of your day is at leisure.

Day 2 - Windhoek – Sossusvlei Area

Please meet your guide in the reception area of the hotel for your transfer to Agama River Camp. Transfer time is approximately four hours and 30 minutes.

Located in Central Namibia, the Naukluft Mountains cut a fine silhouette against the vast open skies of this incredibly beautiful country. Private farms occupy the northern reaches and to the south, the range falls within the spectacular Namib-Naukluft National Park.

At Agama River Lodge & Camp, Jonathan and Monique Leach have developed a wonderful oasis. The main camp buildings incorporate a cosy bar, a friendly restaurant which serves excellent meals and a large viewing deck for sunsets.

Day 3 - Sossusvlei Area

Accompanied by your Guide you will set off in the very early morning and drive in your tour vehicle to the Sesriem Gate, which is the entrance to the Namib Naukluft Park. Passing through the gate you will follow a 65 km long route though the National Park until you reach a parking area, where only 4×4 vehicles can proceed through the thick sand. There for you will get off the tour vehicle and switch over to a 4×4 transfer shuttle, which will take you the last 5 km to the famous dunes of Sossusvlei.

Enjoy the fascinating view of the dunes and the changing of shadows and colours on the sand. On the way back you may visit the Sesriem Canyon, which marks the end of this wonderful excursion.

Return to the Lodge with the remainder of your day at leisure.

Day 4 - Douro Valley

After breakfast, depart Sossusvlei to Swakopmund, visiting the Welwitschia and moonlandscape with your guide. Transfer time is approximately four to five hours.

The ideal location of Beach Hotel Swakopmund, just 50 m from the Atlantic Ocean and within walking distance to the centre of Swakopmund, allows you to experience the flavour of our charming town, while providing you with the opportunity to explore the surrounding areas.

Facilities on site include a Restaurant, “Anchor Point” which is open all year round as well as a lounge with Sundowner bar, a roof terrace with panoramic views and where you can enjoy some Sundowners or relax in the swimming pool.

Enjoy a scenic sundowner and an open air desert dinner.

Day 5 - Swakopmund

Your day is at leisure to enjoy the optional activities on offer.

Day 6 - Damaraland – Etosha

After breakfast, your journey continues to Etosha National Park. Transfer time is approximately five to six hours.

Located just south of the boundary of Etosha National Park in northwestern Namibia, Etosha South makes up the southern region of this wild paradise. The national park can be accessed via the southern entrance at Andersson’s Gate. Visitors can catch a glimpse of a variety of wildlife including: lion, giraffe, elephant, white and black rhino, and a multitude of plains game.

Etosha Safari Camp offers 50 twin-bedded chalets nestled among Mopani trees, imparting a feeling of living in the lap of African nature. Each chalet is equipped with mosquito gauze, air conditioning and its own bathroom and small veranda. Special attractions are the Okambashu Restaurant and the Oshebeena Bar, styled like a typical little township bar and brimming with African joie de vivre.

This afternoon, enjoy a game drive in Etosha National Park.

Day 7 - Etosha

After Breakfast, depart to the Etosha National Park for a full day game drive with your tour guide. Please note game drive will be done in the tour vehicle.

Day 8 - Windhoek

After breakfast your journey comes to an end when you travel to Hosea Kutako Windhoek International Airport in time for you to check in for your onward flight.
