Itinerary Overview
Day 1 - Hanoi

Xin chao! Welcome to Vietnam. You will be transferred from the airport to your hotel. We’ll be collecting insurance details and next of kin information at this meeting, so please ensure you bring these details to provide to your leader. Hanoi is famous for its beautiful lakes, shaded boulevards, verdant public parks and thriving Old Quarter. The latter is a veritable architectural museum piece that feels like a 1930s provincial French town – a great place to explore today if you have time.

Day 2 - Hanoi

Embark on a half-day tour of the city. Your first destination will be Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest Buddhist temple in Hanoi. From there, you will be guided to Van Mieu – The Temple of Literature – the first Vietnamese University, founded in 11th century by the Emperor Ly Thai Tong. Learn about the educational system in the traditional Vietnam which was still applied until early 20th century. Then, pay a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Complex. Later today, make the way inside the local market and enjoy a typical lunch. In the evening, sit down to a traditional water puppet performance. This northern tradition, dating back nearly a thousand years, is performed alongside traditional Vietnamese music that employs drums, wooden bells, horns and bamboo flutes.

Day 3 - Halong Bay

Travel by minibus to the spectacular World Heritage-listed site of Ha Long Bay (approximately 4 hours). The bay is a breathtaking secluded harbor with some 2,000 limestone islands jutting out of the waters of the Bac Bo Gulf. Board your boat and cruise among the dramatic limestone peaks. There’s an opportunity to swim in the famous Vietnam East Sea and explore caves filled with stunning stalactites and stalagmites. Spend a peaceful night on board, beneath a sky alive with stars. Your sailing junk has twin-share cabins, air-conditioning and private facilities. There’s also a dining room and bar.

Day 4 - Halong Bay - Hanoi

As the boat continues to cruise along the majestic peaks, there will be new opportunities to immerse ourselves in Ha Long Bay’s mystical quality. After returning to port, we will transfer to Hanoi where enjoy the rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 5 - Hanoi - Siem Reap

Enjoy you last breakfast in Vietnam before transferring to airport for flight to Siem Reap.

Upon arrival at airport, you will be welcomed by your tour leader who will escort you directly to hotel for relaxing.

Siem Reap is the gateway to Angkor Wat, but it’s not without its own charms. Perhaps start by hitting the local markets to try some delicious street food.

Mid-afternoon, you will take orientation walk 1.5Km spending about 2:00 hours to enjoy with the locals tap in Siem Reap. First start at Artisan d’Angkor, a complete site of the arts and crafts school will take you through the various training and production workshops. Visit Wat Preah Prom Rath and see colorful wall paintings. Tour takes you to the riverbank linking by lofty trees along the famous river.

You will stop at FCC for McDermott Gallery where you can find the pictures are hauntingly lit, more like paintings than photographs! The images that John captured of quiet temples surrounded by forest and village life are fast receding into history.

Then, you will stop at Spirit House of Preah Ang Chek and Preah Ang Chorm that you will learn about holy Statues coming a long spiritual belief. Finally, you may drop at old market that is popular for its hospitality. We will settle in for a drink if you like and you will be free to chat with your knowledgeable expert tour guide.

Day 6 - Siem Reap

Early breakfast at hotel, you will stop and take a shady walk through walkway flanking by lofty trees to explore beautiful temple of Ta Prohm. It is overgrown by massive roots of huge trees and vines making the temple unique and famous for. The temple was also where Angelina Jolie’s movie Lara Croft the Tomb Raider here because of its peaceful place with nature is taking it back-the most picturesque. You will have a peace of mind in exploring the temple and avoid crowds during early. The site gives you atmospheric with nature reclaiming after centuries.

We continue to visit Angkor Thom-the ‘Great Royal City’, a temple is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone. Of all the temples visited today, Bayon temple is the centrepiece, with over 200 smiling carved faces and more than 50 gothic towers. A short walk towards northern where you also stop for visit Terrace of Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King, both are famous for their intricate haut-reliefs.

You explore the amazing temples of Angkor Wat was built in the early 12th century following the model of the temple mountain symbolizing Mount Meru the home of the gods. Inside the temple, the walls are covered with stone carvings and bas-reliefs depicting Hindu mythology and the wars Suryavarman II fought during his reign. There are more than 2,000 Apsaras (heavenly dancers) decorating the temple. Construction is thought to have taken around thirty years of intensive labour. Today, Angkor Wat features on Cambodia’s national flag and the temple symbolizes the heart and soul of the Khmer people.

Day 7 - Siem Reap

After breakfast at hotel, the day is free at leisure.

In the afternoon, you will experiene with the countryside life offering a real fun and engaging adventure that is able you to stay in touch with the authentic local people. The first stop you will see how to make Cambodian noodle where you will be able to taste with new-made noodle with Khmer green curry including mixed vegetables. Next you also learn how to make Khmer Pancakes – Nom Krok with the major ingredients are: rice into flour, a little bit sugar, coconut milk, salt and green onions. You make sure to cook your delicious cake the pan is not too or low heat. Following that you will also make and taste a dessert of Nom Plae Ai those are small dumplings made with glutinous rice flour and a juicy palm sugar filling insider.

On the way back, stop to see the villager vender stalls along the roadsides with patchy areas of palm trees growing around them. You can taste palm sugar chunks wrapped in palm leaves and may also try the fresh palm sugar syrup collected in bamboo.

Final stop at homestay restaurant where you will be ready to discover the secrets of Khmer cuisine with our Cambodian cooking class with a visit farm if time permits. The course aims to preserve authentic cooking methods, quality ingredients inclusively fresh, organic and locally sourced. You will learn how to prepare some of the kingdom’s best loved dishes including a delectable fish amok and you will enjoy dish for the dinner which you prepared.

Day 8 - Siem Reap - Bangkok

No activities plan for today, you will free at leisure until appointed time with tour guide transfer to Siem Reap airport for your departure flight.

Upon arrival and after clearing immigration (for international flight) and collecting your baggage, please follow the signs to exit door custom where our representative will be waiting for you holding a sign with your name on it.

In the evening, explore the night market, Rod Fai Market (Train Market) in the Ratchada area of Bangkok brings in the same convivial night bazaar feel, antiques curios, and street food snacks and treats from its original location, into an area of the city.

The Ratchada Rad Foi Market is split into long avenues with antiques, secondhand toys, and kitsch curios found in the central few avenues. On the periphery, there’s a combination of more general market type clothes, shoes, handbags, and plenty of snack stalls.

Up towards the back end of the market are a row of bars, with VW vans pumping out a mixture of Thai and western pop tunes and adorned with fairy lights. Everyone is very friendly, and conversation flows easily between tables.

Day 9 - Bangkok

Free time in the morning you may explore around arear for Bangkok morning feel or just relaxing in swimming pool and fitness at the hotel.

Around 12:30 pick up transfer to Grand Palace. Strolling through the palace grounds feels like walking through an Asian version of Alice in Wonderland – the buildings are so beautiful they almost don’t feel real. But bet your bottom dollar, they’re real alright! Your local guide will tell you all about the history behind the Palace and the most sacred Buddhist temple in Thailand, Wat Phra Kaew. This place is the spiritual centre of the nation, making it a visit that you cannot afford to miss.

Having farewell dinner tonight with your group before travel back home tomorrow.
